Live Undistracted, a transportation safety technology company, has completed a successful field trial of its PhoneSafe™ software application that prevents distracted driving by blanking Smartphone screens while a vehicle is in motion. The company partnered with Azuga™, a leading global GPS intelligent telematics platform company, to embed the PhoneSafe app into Azuga’s Fleet Tracking Solution. The solution was then deployed in a fleet of utility field service trucks operated by Contract Callers, Inc., a utility services company based in Augusta, GA. The PhoneSafe™ application successfully eliminated the use of texting, emailing, and other screen interactions, but allowed for handsfree calling and voice navigation by the drivers who participated in the trial.
